Mike -

I don't read the newsgroup very often, so I did not see this posting
until today. It is entirely possible that I missed an email or two
along the way - I get hundreds a day as a part of my job, and try to
respond to as much as I can get to, but I know that some get filtered
as spam, and others I simply don't get to as quickly as I would like
due to being overwhelmed. My phone number is 763-548-2600, and is
included in most every email I send as well as being easily found in
previous postings, on my website, etc. Feel free to call if you need
to reach me, or email ltg@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and he can track me down.

Your CPU case was sent back as I said I would. When I took it to the
post office the first time, packed in the exact packaging that you
sent it to me in, the postmaster was unwilling to insure it as he felt
it was insufficiently packaged. I was unwilling to send it without
insurance, so I had to bring it back home and seek out a larger /
stronger box to pack it into. With all I have going, that took me a
few days to get done - I did not have a suitable one here, and there
are no local businesses nearby that had anything suitable. I ended up
driving about 40 miles to where I have some stuff stored and emptying
a box I had coin doors in and using that. I picked that up late
thursday night a week ago (about 3am), and packed it up the next day.
I was not able to get to the post office that day, tried the next day
but missed their open hours (saturday hours are 9:30 to 10:30 only -
the wonders of rural living). Monday they were closed for the
holiday, so the package shipped Tuesday morning. It was sent priority
mail, insured for $1200.

As to the rest, yes, there are significant and long running issues at
home that I am dealing with, and which at times prevent me from doing
much of anything that I would like to. I work from home, so "going to
work" is a walk to another room. Today I made the mistake of trying
to get a full nights sleep for the first time in many days, and as a
result the person I am dealing with almost attempted suicide.
Thankfully they were stopped by a chance encounter with a pastor from
a church about 25 miles from here who their path happened to cross
while on their way to execute their plan. He spent a considerable
amount of time talking with them, and at least for now there is a bit
more stability. But that could change at any point.

So yes, there -is- a reason it was not a simple thing to "drop it in
the mail". I've gone two miles away to meet someone for lunch and
come back to a (thankfully) failed suicide attempt, so I;m very aware
that what might seemt to be a simple errand can be a disaster when
done at the wrong time -- and it is awfully hard to know when those
times are. I have a lot to get accomplished in the times where I have
the freedom to get things done, and am doing the best I can to get as
much done as soon as possible. I presume that you too have things
going on in your life that prevent you from following up on the
commitments that you have made, such as the ones you made to me a
while back. I try to be as understanding as possible, and remember
that people have complicated lives and even the best of intentions
often become derailed by the reality we live in.

Hopefully your cpu case and contents have arrived by now. I did add
some packing to prevent the interior contents from falling apart as
they did on their way here. As requested, I took out the replacement
parts I had installed and put your failed parts back in. Thus no
parts cost. No charge for the diagnosis, parts installation, testing,
etc, and I've paid the $30-plus cost of the postage and insurance to
ship it back to you.

I don't know what else I can do at this time...

Greg...The non responseness to my emails reguarding your repetive
promises to mail back the SWE:1 CPU is getting old. I need to have
this mailed back to me ASAP. I know you said you had family issue but
your going to work and there is no reason you can not drop it in the
mail.

Please let me know whats going on here.......
