In case you were wondering, yes, you .01M does mean 0.01uF in this
case. The part you suggest from Radio Shack looks just fine to me for
this purpose.

Tech: I am working on a Data east CPU and I need to replace a ceramic
Capacitor it says .01M in the manual. Can I replace it with a 0.01µF
50V 10% PC-Mount Capacitor from Radio shack?

does the cap or manual have a voltage rating on it? .01m is same as .
01 uf I believe. You want to make sure the replacement is rated the
same or higher than the original.
It does not have a voltage rating but it is used in the swithc matrix
so the volatage would be low.
