Re: Shay arcade group "coming soon" (what's that mean ?)

Glen,

How does the saying go? You catch more flies with sugar than
vinegar.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm disappointed in the seemingly slow
pace with which new reproductions come along. I've worked with Shay
personally in the past and, while he may not be the most responsive,
he does come through in the end.

For the level of attention you are giving PinballPal, I'd file that
under survival of the fittest. If their approach doesn't work for
you, and your complaints have been responded to here in a public
forum, methinks you're going to have to be a whole lot more patient
and change your expectations.

If anything gets reproduced for the lot of games you are desiring it
would be better than nothing. If it takes a while then sobeit. We
can't all have our all of our games perfect. What Shay produces goes
towards getting more games in exceptional condition. But market
conditions, along with personal schedules, are ultimately going to
define what gets made and when.

Shay does not do this because he has to. He does it because he wants
to and can do it. I think you are going to find it difficult to
change any of this.

I compare your concerns much to PBR and how they do business. Many do
not appreciate the approach they take in their way of doing business.
But most of their customers are satisfied and the pinball hobby is
better off for their involvement. I'm sure most of PinballPal's
customers are just as satisfied as well.

Good luck in your search for the items you need and here's hoping they
make it to Shay's or whoever's list so your games can improve to the
condition you desire.

OK, Glen, now I have something to work from.

I have no emails from you so far this year. None. Zip.

The last email I have from you is from last September, where
you requested an out-of-stock backglass: Twin Bill. You were
put on the waiting list for Twin Bill at that time.

Prior to that, you requested a Central Park backglass on 4/27/06.
I replied on 5/1/06 that I would advise you when they would be available,
and on 8/2/06, the day they were available, I emailed you that they were
available. You bought one a few days later and I emailed you the
package delivery confirmation number on 8/15/06, the day it shipped.

Prior to that, you emailed on 10/1/05 asking if there was "any thought"
about doing a handful of 60's Williams backglasses. You mentioned
10 different backglasses, "to name a few", as you put it. I did not reply
to your pretty vague suggestions, but I did include your requests in the
database. As I stated before, I don't make the decisions about what
gets made, I just pass along the requests.

And those are the facts. I could get all sarcastic on you in
retribution, but frankly I've got too much to do...

Oh my sugar coated preciousness.........it's so nice to be back home
on my angry thread. Terrible thing.....now let's see, where do I
start? I know......I DO have one small request Mark, get all sarcastic
on me, even though I know you have too much to do, like blowing off
all your customers' emails and phone calls.

Do you think it's possible the reason you haven't had any emails from
me this year, None. Zip. could be due to the fact you hadn't answered
my numerous prior emails and phone calls, save for the sole response
for Central Park? Do you really think people are going to keep
emailing and calling when they just get ignored? This isn't quite how
it works, get real. And you know as well as I do the only reason you
even bothered to answer that one is because this glass was coming out
or was just out and you were anxious to unload them. And I don't have
a problem with that....it just makes good business sense. Obviously,
you're not quite getting the gist of what I have been saying here.

So let's see.....you didn't respond to my email or is it emails, as
they were "pretty vague" on the Williams backglasses? I don't know how
much more specific I could be. If I gave you the manufacturer, the
year, and the title......what other information would you need? The
artist? Lot #? The screeners who worked at Williams at the time? You
tell me. And Twin Bill, even though it said on the site that there was
only 1 left (not out-of-stock) as usual, nobody bothered to call me
back. You're saying it yourself in your response, if anybody wants to
take the time to read between the lines. I don't think it would take a
Philadelphia lawyer to figure it out.

Mark's contention is..." Who are you going to believe.......me, or
your lying eyes? You may have a lot of other people here buckshot and
buffaloed....but I'm not one of them. This piss poor track record and
reputation for inadequate public relations and communication is put
squarely on "The Shay Group," and not with it's customers.
