AN EDUCATED RESPONSE TO CRAIG HASSELL::::::
I sold Craig Hassel an I/O and Processor and Boards, and after
receiving them, he emailed me and stated that they did NOT correct the
problem. I told him to send me back both pieces and the original
boards, and I would try to take care of the problem. I purchased a
complete Magic Lamp Game for the purpose of helping him correct the
problem. I fixed the problem and sent the boards directly to his
customer, to help him out. At that time, he was happy and left me a
positive feedback, as I did him. He asked me about buying a Dot
Matrix Assembly, and I sold it to him. A few weeks later, he told me
the display was weak, but he wanted to buy a complete Williams Kit
from me and I told him that I needed to check it out before I could
sell it to him and would send an extra Dot Matrix with that order.
He contacted me a few weeks later and stated that he was ready to
purchase, so I then checked out all the parts in a working game, and
boxed it carefully, then sent him a new PayPal Invoice. He stalled in
paying me, saying that he had been 'stiffed' on another deal.
Finally, he paid me a week later. After he received the package he
sent me an email stating that the other 2 dot materix's were bad as
well. He also stated that he thought he had paid too much for these
parts and accused me of ripping him off.
I called him by phone and told him to send me and email telling me how
much he wanted refunded...and to please not call me back. I no longer
wanted to deal with this man in the future. He told me he wanted
$100.00, which I agreed to. He then sent me pictures of the dot
matrix, and they looked bad. These were NOT the ones I had sent him,
however, I agreed to send him back the money anyhow. The next day I
went online to send him the money, and found that he had been trashing
me anyhow.
In closing, I have sold MANY of the the same kits, and have had NO
problems with any of them, and ironically, the 3 I sent him were
bad??? What are the chances of this? I know that when a picture is
taken of these, they do not come out looking really good, however, the
pictures he sent me, were not the same pictures/units that I had sent
him.
Make your own opinion of me, and make your own judgements. I do NOT
have time to play these silly games, for the sake of a dollar. I have
many customers to take care of.
Regards,
Darell Lawrence

Hi all,
On two ocassions now I've tried to do business with slots4home (aka
Darell Lawrence) of California. However in both instances he has done
me wrong. I've tried giving the guy the benefit of a doubt. But
unfortunately I've had to learn my lesson the hardway with this guy.
So take this post as a warning to think twice before dealing with this
gentleman.
He primarily sells parts for Williams Slot Machines, the ones with the
Dot Matrix Displays as he buys retired slot machines from casino's and
buys them in what I would assume is bulk "parts complete".
The problem is, that I see....he doesn't test any of his equipment
that he sells and sells it as in "good working condition".
I've been burned by him on the following parts:
CPU and Driver Board Set for a Williams Slot Machine purchased througheBay- Board set he sent me did not work. He did however in this case
send me another working boardset for my customer however he charged me
more money for it....I didn't agree with that considering the first
board set I bought from him was sold as tested working 100%. But
that's water under the bridge now and both of our feedbacks' were in
limbo and I felt if I left a negative a retalitory was on it's way.
Needless to say he did send me a working boardset to my customer, my
customer was pleased and he did get my customers game working so I
wasn't to worried about dealing with him at this point.
Next up I asked him if he had any extra DMD's for sale. I figured I
would like to have a spare to hold onto. Darell replies and says he
does. I specifically ask him if it has any issues, (ie: weak, lines
out, etc.). He replies and says he has tested it and it works great.
So I pay via paypal for it and it arrives a few days later.
We'll it works....however it is very weak in the lower corners. This I
feel should have been mentioned up front as he said it worked without
problems.
I brought the issue with the display while at the same time inquired
about an entire kit to convert my Williams slot machine into another
game. He apologized for the bad display and offered to send me another
replacement display along with the one that will be included with the
slot conversion kit that I was to be purchasing from him. Once again
questions were asked about these displays conditions...and I once
again received the same answers "I've tested these ones and they work
great"
We'll Friday the kit arrived along with an addtional large DMD display
as per his offer as a replacement for the first weak one I received.
All parts of the slot conversion kit work great except for once again
the DMD displays that were included in the box (the replacement and
the one included with the Jackpot Stampede Deluxe kit) ...which once
again....were claimed to be tested and working great....
We'll here is what I received.
You be the judge if they are working great.
Here is dmd #1.
Notice 3 lines out in the "m" of Williams and another column out
between the "m" and "s"http://www.hassellcastle.com/images/dmd1.jpg
Here is dmd #2 that was included with the Jackpot Stampede Deluxe kit.
No explaination needed herehttp://www.hassellcastle.com/images/dmd2pic1.jpghttp://www.hassellcastle.com/images/dmd2pic1.jpg
...and these were sold as working in excellent condition!!!
After all of my frustration with this. I contact Darell and told him
of my displeasure with this and even sent him pictures of how the
displays look. He replied to me and accused me of trying to scam him
and said he would have never shipped out DMD displays like that. I
don't buy it, the DMD's were packed very well...I highly doubt that
the above lines were caused by shipping damage...I think they were
this way to begin with.
What a crook.....
That being said...you've been warned.Avoidthis guys auctions like
the plague.

Craig Hassell
