Re: Tech: Corvette LT5 Motor board issues...every coil in the game locks up.

The first question, did you match pin 1 to pin 1 and pin 34 to pin 34
on the cables?

Hey there!

Just got a Corvette machine. It works fine, but the LT-5 motor wasn't
doing anything at all.

I checked it, and it was missing the ribbon cable that goes from the
CPU board ("Display" connector) to the Motor Driver Master board ("From
CPU" connector).

I found a replacement ribbon cable, and hooked it up.

When the game was turned on, every flipper coil pulled in, and the
whole thing looked like it was ready to blow up. I think every
coil/flasher in the game locked up, but since I only had it on for half
a second, I can't be sure.

I unplugged the cable that goes from the Motor Driver Master board to
the Slave board underneath the playfield, and that didn't change the
behavior...so it does NOT have anything to do with the slave board.

Has anyone run into this problem? Any ideas where to start? Everything
else works fine...it's just when you hook up the motor driver board to
the CPU board.

Thanks!
