Well that's my fear, really. The surface surrounding these traces is
black. I fear that if I try to heat the traces to tin them that I
will just delaminate them from the board entirely. They could
already be separated but still in place. There's no way to test that
without pulling on them and that would be dumb too. Continuity
checks seem to be good but clearly the PCB surface has some real heat
damage.
I would strip some wire and solder one end to where the component is
soldered in. Then go along and attempt to tack solder it to the
trace.
Adding solder to the stranded wire will make it solid and keep it in
place.
If you're just going to run jumper wires anyway, makes sense to give
tinning the trace a shot. If it blows up, you'll just put in the jumper
wires that you were going to put in anyway. If it doesn't, you're done!
