Jim...Apology accepted. I appreciate that. It's not all about the money for me, either. In fact, I'm going to donate $100 of the auction sale to the Denver Children's Hospital. Then a negative thing will have turned into a positive thing. It's great that you bring so much to the hobby. I think we were both frustrated. My apologies as well. John

John,

An old Jewish saying (and I am butchering it up big time) goes something
along the lines of:

"It is easier to retrieve the feathers from a down pillow once released from
the top of a mountain than it is to retract the words which were spoken
irresponsibly".

I meant you no harm, and all the blame rests here. I take all the blame.

I started Rottendog amusements as a hobby with the hope of driving down the
cost of the sky high used replacement boards that were/are available. It
used to piss me off to see the prices of some boards and other replacement
parts. No one will sell replacement boards for less than we sell them
because it is a hobby first, and a way of buying more games next.

I am a HUGE believer in the free market system. I in no way denounce what
the guys bid on your board.

We sell to retailers that mark up the price and resell to the general
public. I support them 100 percent.

My lack of class in the words I used in the post was more of a frustration,
after seeing that once availability is removed, John Q. Public will pay many
X times the value of the actual board.

I have posted many auctions with no buy it now. I have sold some of these at
many times more than what I know they were worth. I never returned the
money, or felt guilty

I am sorry.

Sending this to you direct and also on rgp. Realize you will not forgive me,
but hope you know I am sorry.

Jim,

I really don't appreciate your post on RGP about me selling my extra TZ

Clock Board. I was looking high and low for a board and had several emails

out looking. About an hour after I bought the last board from another

vendor, I got an email from your company about a new improved version. I

decided I would rather have the new version with replacable optos for my

game. So I ordered one from you, thinking I would just sell the old version

board. I just wanted to recover my purchase price and ebay fees. I was very

surprised that the board sold for that much. I don't know why you would be

"ashamed" of that anyway. I've since received two nasty emails from RGPers

as a result of your post. This no doubt hurts my reputation on both ebay and

the newsgroup. And all of this because I purchased a "better board" from you

to replace the first model board. What's really sad is that I referred you

to other ebayers wondering if I had another board. I may even end up with

bad feedback on the ebay transaction...I don't know yet. Maybe you sent the

buyer a little note too? I'm not posting this to the newsgroup. I don't

think that would be appropriate. If you "support the free market", then why

did you post this? I supported you by buying two of your boards. You also

got some free advertising out of the deal. I got hate mail! Thanks!

We stopped making these because the price was going to go up by about (~7USD
per board).

I am ashamed to have our name associated with this final purchase price,
however, the free market has our total support.

PS Have a new version that uses OPB804s along with buffers that allow for
the high current of the original desing. Will probably be another 4-6weeks
though.
