Power off, pull the plug. Then power up , if error goes away not a cpu
problem, if error remains then you have a cpu problem. LTG :)

Hello,that
I have not had to work on a pinball machine in some time and I wanted a
little feedback on an issue I had with the switch matrix on IJ. I get
"GND SHORT ROW 1 IS STUCK CLOSED" error. No fuses are blown. The switchesgo
on the coin door will not work (which are not part of Row 1), so I can't
into test mode. Row 1 is on J109. The questions is this: If I pull thethat
J109 plug at the CPU and still get the error, am I correct in assuming
the wiring can't be the problem? I am thinking U18 is the case (U18 beingRow
the chip controlling Row 1). I don't see on my switch matrix list which
the test buttons are on (?). Also, some coils seem to be randomly goingoff
(I assume the game is seeing the switches as closed). The coils seem to be
IR switch related, but I am not sure they all are.
If anyone has suggestion or advise, please let me know.
Thanks,
Matt Davis
