Guys this is getting WAY over the top and everyone has posted some real
good replies. All the sellers who have replied to DD&BB have built your
reputation (in a small pinball community) on customer satisfaction and
putting the customer first, otherwise you guys would be getting bashed
and have no customers. I respect ALL you guys who keep the hobby alive
and we all have to deal with A-Holes, every day at work, it takes a
real businessman to please a dissatisfied customer and make him feel
like a winner. If anyone who sold me a product, that was
misrepresented, or defective, I would first deal with them in private
and if that did not work I would do whatever it takes to get a
replacement or refund, (John would look like a puppy). DD&BB has a real
gripe, he is frustrated, pissed off, and is doing whatever it takes to
get his money back, EVEN if he has to give Jeff a "Public Beating"
every day of the week, and it seems this is not going to stop. If I had
a "bad customer" I would refund his money and never deal with him
again, and I would give him a "Public Beating" daily until he
apologized for the nasty things he said about me. This is a easy
problem to resolve for everyone involved - Jeff give a refund THEN John
post a retraction. (This is easy and it looks good for both parties).
If DD&BB was an RGP Troll and Deadbeat he would have been "outed" by
others and vendors in the past, I dont see him as a Troll, he is just
"Pissed Off Big Time". Hopefully things get resolved quickly, and we
don't have to deal with this nonsense again. Just think about the
problems in the World today that can be resolved just by saying: I'm
sorry. Stewie Rules!!!

Todd,
I've never sent Jeff 'hate mail'.
HE has sent ME email threats about 'hoping he has something I need
someday, because he'll never sell it to me'. Does that make him a
nutcase?
I've posted here about being screwed over with a crappy product and
ignored by him.
I think that fact gives myself and the others the right to voice our
dissatisfaction from time to time, just as the satisfied customers post
their positive reviews.
I'm sorry, but the fact that you are a BIG purchaser of his products
for your business of fixing up and selling games has to bias you a bit,
although I do think you are a good guy, as we've had a few emails over
the years.
I don't think what Jeff or any repro person does makes them a god. I am
glad that these people make the things they make, but it doesn't give
anyone the right to treat a customer poorly or act like an ***.
Well said. I'll try to keep my mouth shut and let others who are less
reactionary and more eloquent state my case. Customer service is
important, too, Todd. If you treated people like Jeff treats many of
us, you would have to fend off this type of criticism, but I doubt you
will ever let it reach such dire straits. Please don't let it ever, for
everyone's sake.
John
