Re: Have you ever had a pinball stolen ??

Hey Lloyd,
Here's a story you might get a kick out of, about ten years ago there
was a rash of burgaries on our street, so I parked my truck a couple of
doors down from me and left my garage door open. Sure enough this guy
walked down my driveway and went into the garage. He came out carrying
a skilsaw and my transit level. I let him get halfway up my driveway
and let him have it with both barrels of my 12 ga. filled with rock
salt. He dropped the tools and went running up to the road screaming.
I gave him my best Jed clampett, y'all come back now, y'hear.

Every time I think about that puff of white smoke that came off the
seat of his pants I bust up laughing.
The burglaries stopped after that. (;^)

I'm sorry to hear that Del. That just isn't right in so many ways.

An idea here, if anyone is forced to have strangers in their house to see a
game, don't be bashful about ID'ing them, take their picture playing a game,
and even let them see you write down their license plate number on their
vehicle. A good person will understand, and you might scare off a bad person
from returning.

Some years ago I was approached in my banks parking lot by two men in a van,
their boss was over stocked on speakers and they were offering great deals
on them. I thanked them and politely said no and left. I wrote down their
plate number and tossed it in my glove box. Well low and behold about a year
and a half ago I had two guys approach me on the street in front of my house
with the same story and a new van. I asked them to wait a minute and I dug
out their old plate number, I went up to the driver and started
complementing him on his new truck, I told him the last time I saw them over
on Lake Street and the date that they had an older van, business for them
must be good. And I proceeded to write down their new plate number and the
date. They took off fast. I don't know if the speakers were hot, junk, or
the old we'll show you how to hook them up ( two wires ) and case your house
too. I had no interest in speakers, but I figured if they split that they
meant me no good. LTG :)

Rob,
Neither of those 2 games were for sale ( MM & CV ) , They came to look
at 2 Data East games I had listed in the Local Newspaper, That was on
Thursday & they were driving a Car, Wanted to come back on Friday &
pick them up & I let them know I wouldnt be home ( HUGE MISTAKE ) ,
They came in through a Window & opened the walk in door
The big door was locked,, Dont know how they loaded them unless they
had a tommy-lift
But where these games were sitting they didnt have to carry them far.
Lesson lerned the hard way,, I still will list games in the local
paper, But now I put the game(s) in my old building so strangers caint
see my 20 plus pin collection,
I now have a Alarm System, Steal bars on ALL windows & doors & A
Rottweiller that loves to be Rough,,, These guys also knew what they
were doing,, I HATE a Theif !!

Pin-Del,

.
