Re: Attention Ebay sellers: Correct definition of mint.

Couldn't agree more. I live near that particular pin and have emailed
on a few occasions with the seller (though not regarding this pin)
about a couple of other pins via Mr Pinball I think. Seemed like a
nice enough guy though and responded promptly to all questions and I
almost bid on the Supersonic partially because of it. But I too was a
perplexed by the description and chose to move on to other games. The
game actually doesn't look bad from the pics, though none are very
close and clear. I just get scared when the description and the pics
seem off. I've been burned VERY badly by this in the past. The last
three games I bought Silverball Mania, Genie and Space Invaders, were
not perfect and not described as such, but were very good examples with
solid sellers who didn't oversell. In fact, to some degree, they may
have been a bit conservative which is always a pleasant surprise to us
buyers.

BTW, I orginate from the "Republic of Texas" by way of San Antonio. I
may not be altogether bright in some people's minds but I AIN'T NO
REDNECK, DAGBURNIT!

cheers, dp

Twice this week I have looked at pinballs on Ebay that were listed as
"mint" in the title. After looking at the pics, I found the pins to
have scratches, playfield ware, graffitti cabinets, rotted rubbers, and
blemishes in the backglass. Now, I contacted one of these guys for a
friend that was interested but wanted my opinion. When I did, the
seller (sirpinball) in Maryland sent a derogatory e-mail that he wont
sell to know-nothing rednecks in texas. Okay cool. Last time I
checked our money was just as green. Anyways, the point I would like
to make is that "mint" means no scratches, ware, flaking backglass, or
for that matter any signs of being used. Can I get an opinion from the
RGP crowd? Is it okay to sell used pins with scratches and ware as
mint? if so, I have some mint parts machines piled up I need to start
selling.
