I'm not sure. My Trade Winds was missing the relay on the Coin mech. I
would think you're probably right though. If you win a special this
relay is probably supposed to unlock the coin mech so you can push it
in to start your free game. I was never good enough to win a special on
mine anyway. Like you said they are drain monsters. These games are
pretty early in the flipper realm though so I'm sure some finesse with
nudging would be a great advantage.
