Re: TROLL POLL: cheese for the funny little mouse

I had fun batting it around a little and don't mind having to do this
once in a while. This mouse infestation won't go away any time soon so
why bother? And ignoring the mouse just will get you more mice,
demanding more cheese (recognition as human).
If you must feed the funny little mouse, lace the cheese with
sleeping pills so it becomes dormant. ;) This mouse isn't as bad as
some of the others I've seen here, the only harm I've seen is the
constant and sometimes damaging false information from it but the
information can be corrected in follow up posts pointing to the problem.
If you leave the posts alone, the falsehoods will remain. To me, this is
more damaging than the mouse itself. The funny little mouse appears to
think "if what it says gets repeated enough, people will believe it and
it must be true".
If you must swat or post to the funny little mouse, please put it's
last name in the post so Google and newbies will know who it is you're
talking to. Since the funny little mouse erases it's posts right away in
Google, it helps to see it's "crumb trail of mistakes". Just set traps
instead of stepping into one the mouse set. Hopefully the funny little
mouse will learn and become a man. I watch and look forward to this
day. -S (CARGPB1)

Good points Steve. One more thing to mention is that those who use
Google will not see the message that was deleted but those using
non-web based newsgroup readers will see the message even though it was
deleted. Google is the only one that deletes the messages. Other
newsgroup servers will continue to carry the feed.

Also, if the message is deleted in Google, I believe there is a break
in the flow of the messages.

Finally, quoting does wonders. If the people using the non-Google
newsreaders make it a point to quote all of the text, it will again
re-appear in Google groups and not be deletable. I find it interesting
to not see a message but then it is quoted and revealed as being
deleted.
