Good pics Rob! Hey if I send you mine would you want to host them? I even got pics of Michael Scheiss's (Lucky JuJu) KILLER em airstream
trailer :)
This was a GREAT show, as always. I didn't get to actually play any games most of the day but that's ok! It's all about meeting friends and catching up. I got to meet so many new friends this year too! I was surprised by who didn't show this year too (ahem, Timathie, Pinball Cowboy, Bob Fellows and Mr Gligorea :/ )
I'm not going to even TRY to name off all the great folks I got to meet up with this year, far too many and I would surely miss someone and I wouldn't wanna do that :) Suffice to say you guys are all special pin buds and I appreciate all of yas :)
The banquet came off even better this year but boy what a chore getting it arranged! Rick from BAA took the reigns this time and actually left the show to get those Cattlemens people straightened out. Turns out their phone lines were down! Good for us as it was nigh impossible for anyone else to make reservations too :) Ray Johnsons wife, Jill, ended up doing the same thing not knowing Rick was already on the stick :) It worked out great in the end. Fantastic steak, great laughs. Steve Tsubota was up with his camera even at the banquet but was able to get in the shot himself thanks to one of the restaurant staff. I want to thank Don and Ellen Highley, Rick and especially Randy Peck (you know what I mean, bud :) for the awesome dinner. Thanks also to the ki8ds of the Boys and Girls Club of Dixon! These kids did a fantastic job and they are some of the nicest, most respectful kids you'll ever meet. The PAGG show proceeds benefit their organization and in my opinion they have earned and deserve every cent they get. Can't say enough good things about this organization and the kids that volunteer at this show.
Hey Brian, the special new item I showed you is ready for prime time but I hesitate letting folks know about them as I may not be able to meet immediate demand. Soon though and thanks for the thumbs up :)
I have to thank Hector Villalobos for babysitting two of my games for the past couple of years. Sorry the Sacramento Pinball League will be short these two games now but I was needing them back, I really missed 'em :) Thanks to Kerry Richard for helping bring my babies home! Thanks again Randy Peck for the beautiful Funhouse playfield! Guess I need to get mine torn down now... finally :) Thanks to Craig Weiss for helping me hawk some backglasses and marquees. He was one busy guy this year selling off some project games and parts. I've never seen him so happy! Maybe coz he isn't gonna have to haul anything back up to Camino, huh? :) A HUGE thanks to Steve Charland for managing to, once again, wrangle up 4 Spirits! Not many people know or appreciate the hard work Steve does at this show. He busts ass for weeks before the show getting other peoples games up and running just for PAGG and to also manage getting 4 Spirits there? Amazing :) Steve also saddled up to the brand spankin' new WPT there. The first time he'd even seen one and proceeded to put the GC score on that held through most of Saturday.
Always an absolute joy to spend time with my closest friends there, Rob. Nice meeting your brother for the first time too! Hope he was having fun :) Had some great laughs with Mario and Steve, Joe, Tom and George. Got to set a spell and talk shop with Tim Meighan, Russ Jensen and Richard Conger. Richard brought a Motorama to sell but I didn't get to see who bought it. Steve Pazar didn't buy that did he? :) Ray Johnson brought the whole family this year and man it's always great to see them. Such great people. Hey Fuey, get yer *** over here man. I'm just up the road from yas :) I wish Martin Reynolds could have made it but sadly his work conflicted this year :( A BIG (tall?) surprise for me was seeing old time RGP'er Jody McCullough! JODY! BUD! Where ya been for the past few years! GREAT seeing ya man :) Oh and Greg Ong, sorry I didnt find your Cleo slings in time for the show but I will find them! :)
Hey a big thanks to everyone who brought games this year. Yeah there didn't seem to be as many as in previous years but after talking to Don I think we can remedy that. Don seemed open to ideas so I'm going to get even more involved with this fantastic show. In my heart PAGG is the pinnacle of pinball shows. It truly has a family feel to it and is much less about politics and more about innocent, joyful fun. More and more people get to know each other every year and there is a bonding amongst pinball owners, collectors and players you just don't see at other shows. Tell me I'm lyin'! :) The venue is great, the pins are always great but the people are the greatest!

Hi all,
Well, I was not able to stay as late as I would have liked, but I got
to see some friends I have not seen in a while and some friends I have
never met in person. I had a blast talking shop and playing a few
games. It was nice to see Cliffy, Steve Charland, Randy Peck, Tim
Hannian, Ray from Action Pinball, Rick from BAA, Tom Sherry, Craig
Weiss, Kevin L'Heureux, Mike Kleames, Kerry Richard, Don Highly, Mario,
Rick Munson and everyone else I forgot to mention.
There were not as many games this year, but it was still a great turn
out. The link below is to the page I just put up with some pictures
from the show. Enjoy!
