Re: So.... was anyone here lucky enough to get the $950 TAF?

No you waited "8" weeks to flame him!

Flame him? I described a transaction, as part of a post relating to
Brian's TAF experience.

and I didn't whip
off a series of nasty emails to him when he let me know he had sold the
machine, rather than waiting until Thursday to see if the check arrived
He shouldn't have to! That is the point! LOL!!! You need to realize
this. You failed in your part. END OF STORY!

I never said he had to. He can do business however he likes, I don't
dispute that. We exchanged a fair number of emails, agreed on how
certin things would happen, etc. He said he wanted to receive payment
by Wednesday, and if I sent it Monday he should have it Tues or Wed; I
sent it sunday, and scanned the check and emailed it to him. No, I'm
not saying he controls the mail, but he seemed to have a feel for how
long it would take. He says he didn't receive it Wednesday. On the RGP
there are a fair number of posts discussing who are/what makes a good
seller, bad seller and all other sellers. I think a good seller, after
the communication and receiing a scan of the check, would have shot me
an email wednesday asking if it was really sent or giving me the chance
to wire the funds. Did he have to? No. He can do business however he
likes.

Now, would it have avoided all this if I FedEx'd the check? It might
have, although based on your and Jim's input in this thread, maybe not.
JeffreyZ emailed me on the WEDNESDAY to say he didn't receive the check
and had sold it to someone locally. You posted that he called you on
FRIDAY to ask you opinion as to what to do, as he hadn't received the
check [seems unlikely as to a check mailed Sunday] and you advised him
to sell it to the next buyer. The next buyer happened to be his friend
Jim; Jim's post to this thread is that he called JeffreyZ while he was
waiting for the check, and cut a deal. Eric, as you pointed out,
JeffreyZ dosen't know me; similarly, I don't know him. So for all I
know he received the check on Thursday (or on Wednesday), but now had a
friend who wanted the machine. But again, I don't dispute that he can
do business however he wants. I put the transaction out there in the
TAF post, and people can view it how they choose.

Where are his replies here? What did he say, yes or no? Just to let
you know our very own Philip Hoffitz was one of the guys that sent a
deposit and then wanted it back so can you see why he told you no I
want full payment.

He said it was ok, and sent his address; I mailed the check and emailed
him a scan of it. If he had said 'no' or requested full payment and I'd
said I would send half, he wouldn't have been waiting to see if my
check arrived before selling it to someone else, would he, Columbo?

I thought you were sending FULL payment not a deposit, ok, ***!
That's what I meant by that. I read your message to him as a question
and didn't see an answer from him.

Ease up Eric, you're going to give yourself an an aneurysm. Here is the
relevant exchange. I've removed his mailing address from the text; the
text reads from most recent to older messages.
