Re: TZ puzzler, serious tech help needed, clock ticks and lower lock fires, DO U KNOW?

Do you have the connectors on the clock facing the right direction ? LTG :)

Hi I am having a problem w my tz and have been for a long time, but I
decided to tackle it again with the use of another tz. Everytime my
clock is plugged in and the clock moves the lower lock solenoid fires.
I have also noticed that sometimes the slot machine switch will set the
lower lock switch as well and even rarer sometimes the left inlane will
set it off too. This problem does not happen when the clock is
unplugged.

One thing is all these switches are in the same column and all have
the white/grey wire.

So some things I have done to test the problem are:

I have installed a new switch at lower lock (still have problem)
I have swapped out cpu board for another (still have problem)
I have swapped out opto board under playfield (still have problem)
I have changed lower lock solenoid just for the heck of it (still have
problem)
I have swapped clocks with other tz (still have problem)
I have checked all grounds (green wires) at plug (that plugs into cpu)
to see if their is any continuity to each other, and there is not.
I have verified that lower lock switch and slot machine switch perform
correctly all the way to cpu plug and board.
I have put in new diode at slot machine switch (still have problem)

I have not switched out driver board w the other one.

Any suggestions from anyone, especially if I switch out driver board
and I am still having the problem.

Also I wanted to know if other people's tz lower lock solenoid fires
twice after they turn on their game and their clock turns and sets
itself to midnight.
Please Help any advice is greatly appreciated, Thanks, alot, SEan
