Did you replace everything with 12,000uF's or is this a typo?
Hey Guys, I need some help..
I just rebuilt the power supply in my System 6 Time Warp. I replaced:
100v section:
C11 x 2 - Capacitor, Axial, 12000uF, 25V.
C13 - Capacitor, Axial, 12000uF, 25V.
+5 Section:
C15 - Capacitor, Axial, 12000uF, 25V
D7 and D8 - 6A4 Diodes
I also replaced connector 3J6. When I measure the voltages I'm getting
the correct reading for the 100v section: 12.60 volts on pin 6. But
when I read the +5 section I'm getting 12.06 volts on pins 7-10. What
else should I check? The only other items in that section are:
X3 - 3 AMP. 5 V Positive Voltage Regulator
C16 - ???
C17 - 1MFD 500V Ceramic Capacitor
Should I shotgun it and replace all of these? Is there something else
I'm missing?
If I replace the voltage regulator I guess this is what I need:
-------------------------------------
Product ID: LM323K
IC, Voltage Regulator.
Integrated Circuit, Votlage Regulator, 5V, 3A
Package: TO-3
Product ID: 4651
Mica Insulator, TO-3.
-------------------------------------
The Mica insulator says it needs heatsink greese, I've got some actic
silver I can throw in there... can you say overkill?? =)
Thanks!
Hugh
