hey my SMB had a similar problem with the left sling, it would work
about 20 times then fail, ended up replacing the mosfet 3 times, diode,
once, checked EVERYTHING and the culprit was the ttl drive for the
mosfet, not enuff hi swing to turn on completely, the q would get hot
and fail
