personally, I *hate* doing that.
Well really, of all the pinball problems I've had -- they're almost always
due to overheating, bad bridges, bad connectors, battery leakage, and other
problems related to being on and used (or not used) for long periods. If
you turn a machine on and off again repeatedly, what harm would it really
do? Have you ever seen a machine that's been a victim of this? My guess is
it's totally harmless compared to everything else that actually does go
wrong. But I hate to do it too ;-)
Does anyone have any clever solutions?
Yeah. Wire a switch behind the right coin rejector, so that when you hit
the rejector the switch closes. Then wire it in parallel with the coin
door slam switch.
Or, just kick your coin door really hard. ;-)
