Just want to make sure of the procedure as listed in Marvin's site for
testing a 2N5401 transistor that is installed in a board.

"Put the black lead of the DMM on the center leg of the transistor
(note this transistor doesn't have a metal tab). Put the red lead of
the DMM on each of the two outside legs of the transistor".

So if I understand this correct, the red lead must touch both outside
legs at once? If so is there a trick to this, I can hardly get my
probes from the DMM in there?
