Am I? I actually called before it was 'out on the truck' and asked them
to hold it. They told me exactly what I posted. It may *WORK ALL THE
TIME FOR YOU* but _obviously_ not every FedEx location is as
understanding. Consider yourself lucky.

Now see I've had the opposite experience. I have told them to hold
items in the past and they have done so. Not that UPS is perfect, but
they tend to be easier to deal with in these situations, if only by a
slight margin.
