For best results put one wire into the pin.
Then solder the two wires to the pig tail coming from the pin.
I look at why I am replacing the connector, too much current too long a time
and it is burnt. So that tells me I need the best and lowest resistance
connections I can make.
I am sorry but those splice connectors are not what you want. They will
have more resistance than solder and an improperly sized connector can slice
strands of wire.
I like to do it once and know it will last the life of the pin.
BTW, I have removed several fail splice connectors from the GI circuit.
Something about brown wires.
