No big deal.
Take a bunch of pictures of the inside of the backbox.
Wear rubber soled shoes and touch the ground braid in the backbox before you
touch the boards.
Lable the connectors with a fine point sharpie as you remove them.
Take a couple more pics of just the boards in the box.
Remove the boards.
Take a couple more picture of the box.
Remove the metal backplate and the knocker and anything else you want to
remove.
Refurb the backbox.
While it dries or cures you might consider washing your boards. I like a
stiff hog hair brush and anhydrous alcohol wash.
After it all dries, reverse the process.
Use caution on the ribbon cables to make sure the red line is on pin 1 and
that you get the connector on correctly. Easy to be off by a row or one pin
or to even bend a pin. Flashlight helps. Better yet, get one of the lights
that straps on your head. Then you will have both hands
When you have it all together, pull out the manual and turn the the rear
section where it has various pages for each board in the backbox and what
wire is supposed to be on heach header pin. Double check each board. This
process takes less than 30 minutes but can really save you. It sort of falls
into the carpenter's "measure twice, cut once" mantra. A flashlight helps.
Once you are confident the wiring is all compliant with the manual, fire it
up.
Hth.
