And let's not even get starting on World of Warcrack...

Until you've felt the slaanesh-like pleasure/self loathing of submitting
your soul completely to WoW, you are not allowed to mention that game. The
gods will become angry and smite you.

Pah, I'll mention it alright. $15 a month, after 12 months that's
$180, I could buy an army for that and have fun with real humans
face-to-face, and know when I'm looking at a woman that she IS a
woman, not some 45-year-old plumber named Bob who happens to be
playing "Dominaria the Dark Elf Mistress".

oh hell, i have wargaming pals who dress up as girls in real life.
actually, most of the time i can't even tell if they're trying to look like
guys trying to look like girls, or just trying to look like girls ...

I only know of one guy who does it, and he does it as a joke, and it's
blatantly obvious he's not a woman despite the lipstick, makeup,
fingernail paint, and purse. Imagine a big biker fellow wearing a
dress and makeup and you'd have a pretty apt description. He's not a
gamer, though, he's actually a mechanic.

people who complain about men posing as chicks online make me laugh.
because, as far as i can see, the only reason to complain is if you were
looking to hit on actual chicks on the internet in the first place. which
is a rather precarious glass house upon which to mount your trebuchet.

I think the idea of hitting on anyone online is stupid... despite its
obvious problems, millions of people do it, though.

I just don't like the idea of anyone misrepresenting themselves
online. If you want a good example for how it can go horribly wrong
despite people on the other end having the best of intentions, go back
and Google the "Lisa Grayson" topics. The whole idea is, well,
somewhat disturbing - both talking to a female who turns out to be a
male, and the realization that said guy is willing to pretend to be a
girl (though I'll grant some of them are probably quite happy with
their masculinity and are doing it for kicks).

There's a lot of other issues, too, I just picked the easy target.
