Cheapest place for GW stuff I know of in australia. Online or in shop.
Has twice yearly sales where it drops another 10%.
Good variety of other stuff.
Cool Mini or Not
TIPS & TRICKS:
coolminiornot.com
Good for inspiration, and has good tips and tutorials section. and has
a forum.
Aside from links could I request that people also add their tools and
basic techniques they use that not everyone may know.
eg
Washing models in weak soapy water before priming to remove release
agent and improve the binding of the primer.
Pin vise.
I use a ~$10 engraving dremel thing from Bunnings hardware. Got a
whole bunch of polishers, cutters with it that are a great help for
conversions and can fit pinning drill bits.
Gesso primer (yet to use but hail gessus) from art stores.
light box for photos (Yes my recent photos have not used one, I need
to rebuild it since move), basically get a box, cut out big windows in
the walls and stick paper blocking them. Put light behind the windows.
This diffuses the light, lighting up the whole model much better than
a flash or single light source.
