That description is clear. Pictures of fish.

CHINESE USE THE TERMS ONE TIAIO-FISH OR TWO TAIO-FISH, EVERY FISH HAS
A MEASUREMENT OF LENGTH; A BIG FISH IS LONGER AND A SMALL FISH IS
SHORTER IN LENGTH. TAIO IMPLIES LENGTH WHETHER AN OBJECT IS A FISH OR
A ROPE, A STRING OR A PAIR OF TROUSERS. THE COMMON DENOMINATOR IS
THE LENGTH FACTOR.

A STRING OF CASH WAS BASED ON THE ASSUMPTION AND INCORRECT
INTERPRETATION THAT THE ROUND SHAPE WAS CASH. ON THE OTHER HAND, THE
FISH PICTURE WAS A LOCALLY MEANINGFUL APPLICATION OF "LENGTH" TO A
PRODUCT OF COASTAL REGION, THE FISH.

That was a "string of Fish", clearly not Cash.
FISH WAS MORE APPRECIABLE AND VALUABLE THAN CASH WORTH ONE-TENTH OF
ONE CENT.

Yet how so many for so long (nearly 150 years) have been led to
believe the term was string and it was a string of coins (which did
not even match the spec of a square hole in the middle)?
BY DEFINITION CASH WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A COIN WITH A SQUARE HOLE AT THE
CENTER OF A ROUND COPPER DISK.
I HAVE NEVER SEEN A REAL COIN IN ANY MJ SET YET.

SOMEBODY DID A FANTASTIC SELLING JOB. IT LOOKS LIKE THE WESTERN WORLD
IS LIKE A BIG FISH, TOOK THE STRING, 'HOOK, LINE AND SINKER', AS THE
SAYING GOES.

People should know by now. A circular symbol is more than a cheap
copper coin. It took imagination to see it, but it does not require

SYMBOLS ARE NOT OBJECTS. SYMBOLS REPRESENT CONCEPTS.
FRUITS IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN WERE SYMBOLS AND THEY WERE NOT ACTUAL
APPLES THAT EVE SANK HER TEETH IN.
