I think your initial response was prompted not by "friendliness" per
se but by "user friendliness". These are two different issues, the
first pertaining to people playing on the server, the other to the
ease of the interface. Both are a matter of preference, and you cannot
just debunk one's private opinion by countering with your own private
opinion.

I was referring to the behavior of users and admins. I assure you that opinion is not my own private opinion, it is held by many, as you must realize, and as I was attempting to point out to the original responder.

There are many who find KGS software (read: client) much more "user
friendly" than any of the IGS client. We all know that you fing the
IGS client more user friendly.

I really don't have much of an opinion re the KGS client, I've spent exactly one afternoon on KGS investigating it, and I was not overly impressed by it in comparison to a couple IGS clients. Personal preference, as you say. Although... when KGS was down recently I noticed a few people having "trouble" with glGo - it helps to be computer literate to the point of being able to enter your username and password, and enter commands from terminal rather than the Shout window :)

So what?
There is no "urban myth", just personal opinions.

Well, no. This "friendliness" bs has been thrown in the face of everyone reading this group since 1995, as you are well aware.

The same goes for the general impression of the "friendliness" of the
players on each server.
So stop having kittens already, its not such a big deal if somebody
find KGS more "friendly".
Personal opinions, even when shared by a lot of people, are still not
"urban myths".

I think twelve years of it constitutes a minor myth.

---------------------Bantari's personal opinions snipped----------------

Instead of "having kittens", I rather really just don't give a damn. As I say, I don't care where people choose to play, or how "friendly" they may find any server. So stop ascribing to me emotions I don't have. The "server wars" are over, let them go, I haven't flamed KGS or wms in over two and half years, and probably never will again. Although I will continue to rebut what I consider nonsense posted to this group.
