I am not "spoofing" my identity either, it is very plain who is
sending this message. What I am spoofing is my email address
which is not needed for this conversation to take place.

Actually, "Robert Blair" was -incorrect- (as is usually the case).

What I posted is correct.
Robert's spoofing of an email address violates Supernews advice.
Those "Terms of Service" at Supernews state specifically:
"Posting
"Additional terms related to posting may now be found in our AUP.
Posting is a privilege which may be revoked with or without notice at
our sole discretion should we determine that your Account has been
used to commit Usenet abuse or poses a risk for future Usenet abuse."
http://www.supernews.com/about/tos.html
Since I am not a direct customer of supernews I have never directly
consented to those terms.
Robert's ISP receives the newsfeed to-and-from Supernews. They
have directly consented to those terms. Robert's ISP is contacted at:
TST On Ramp
1101 Tech Center Drive Suite 150
Vancouver, WA 98683
+1-800-689-4303 abuse@xxxxxxxxx
In turn, the Supernews Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) states:
"Forgery
"Forgery of an existing email address or domain which you do not
own or have the right to use in the headers of articles you post
will result in immediate loss of posting privileges, with restoration
of such privileges in our sole discretion.
I am not forging anyone's email address so that does not apply.
I did not say that Robert was forging anyone's email address.
"... Users seeking to
obfuscate their addresses or use made-up email addresses in the
headers of their articles are advised to use the ?.invalid? Top Level
Domain (i.e.: someone@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx as opposed to
someone@xxxxxxxxxxx).
http://www.supernews.com/about/aup.html
Note the statement says "advised" not required.
Not following the advice of your newsgroup posting host is
sufficient cause to warrant reports by many -others- to your ISP.
"Robert Blair" has NOT followed the Supernews advice w/r/t email addr,
choosing instead -total- obfuscation of address.
I may not be following their "advice" but that is not required.
We will allow your ISP and Supernews to evaluate that conclusion.
In my case, the email
addr of jazzerciser@xxxxxxxxxxx would be jazzerciser@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx .
But I choose not to obfuscate my email address. I scan over hundreds
of spam messages to locate any relevant material for reply or archive.
Supernews advises "Robert Blair" to be someone at example, not a
nobody at nowhere . Of course -others- will be happy to report him to
homeland security authorities for violating the Supernews TOS and AUP.
As if homeland security gives a damn.
Homeland security is monitoring "Robert Blair" as we speak:

I am not violating the supernews T&C.
Dunno what "T&C" references. We are speaking of the TOS & AUP.
Those judgments will be assessed by proper authorities, but not by you.
