Re: The Big Tease

Bantari,

IGS owns it - in the sense that they designed it, developed it, and
named it. Its only just for us to use the name its designers wish us to
use.

That's very reasonable.
I don't suppose IGS would be troubled if it got feedback suggesting
a change of name or indeed any aspect of the application; most
programmer/designers want feedback on everything to do with their work.
Such feedback would best be by email, not per a usenet group.
Of course the feeder-back might feel that such a single and private
emailed suggestion would not be read, that sent into the body of a
newsgroup it would have more import. His feeling might be completely
wrong on that score. On the other hand he may get a private email reply
even if it is only an acknowledgement of receipt.
At that juncture the developer could in his turn post the emailer's
suggestion into a newsgroup; seeking reaction from the probably
interested user/public.
I've been hoping that what initials, GSCP, stand for would appear in
rgg <s>. I'm guessing it's something along the lines...
Go Sxxxxx Cxxxx Protocol
