My computer can do millions of calculations per second.
I don't know how many floating point multiplications your brain can do per
second, but I doublt it's more than a couple :)

It all depends what you want a computer to do, and how it's programmed,
wether or not it is superior to the human brain or not-

It appears that your postulation is that computers have the neccessary
processing power, but the software does not take advantage of it, right?
In that case, I agree. I thing that current computers would be able to play
at pro level in Go, if only the software would exist.

Making that software, however, is a whole different ballgame.
