help, Spirit magick (okay) on asking it to help, setting some

Okay, Spirit Warding, probably.
after that you need to make some
opposed checks to figure out what he is doing.))
This odd scene continues for about 10-15 minutes, almost like Gregory
is in a deep trance. The runes seen on his skin before fade in and out
a couple times, never staying visible for very long
((OOC: I assume for the opposed checks I roll INT + Spirit Lore, which
is a dice pool of nine. I'll do a series of extended rolls, since
Gregory is taking 10-15 minutes to do all of this, so....[runs back to
the WoD Online Dice Roller:]
((ROLL #1
Die 1 yielded 8 - a success
Die 2 yielded 2 - a failure
Die 3 yielded 5 - a failure
Die 4 yielded 9 - a success
Die 5 yielded 2 - a failure
Die 6 yielded 2 - a failure
Die 7 yielded 1 - a failure
Die 8 yielded 3 - a failure
Die 9 yielded 7 - a success
3 successes if we assume difficulty 6.
((ROLL #2
Die 1 yielded 4 - a failure
Die 2 yielded 5 - a failure

Die 4 yielded 10 - a success
Die 5 yielded 7 - a success
Die 6 yielded 8 - a success
Die 7 yielded 5 - a failure
Die 8 yielded 9 - a success
Die 9 yielded 8 - a success
6 successes if we assume difficulty 6, which brings my running total to
9.

Die 9 yielded 8 - a success
4 successes if we assume difficulty 6, which brings my running total to
lucky # 13!
((As for that Iwapo' roll, INT + Linguistics dice pool is 10:

Die 2 yielded 4 - a failure

Die 5 yielded 6 - a success
Die 6 yielded 3 - a failure
Die 7 yielded 6 - a success
Die 8 yielded 3 - a failure
Die 9 yielded 8 - a success
Die 10 yielded 6 - a success
6 successes, if we assume difficulty 6))
((If I need to make more rolls, just let me know. Or, if for some
reason those aren't the right dice pools, I'll roll again)).
Eventually
though, the second voice stops speaking and Gregory continues on alone
for a couple more minutes.
See above rolls; Jack's very interested to know what the second voice
is saying.
In time this also ends, and Gregory starts to step back from the
mirror only to stop and look at his hand - which seems to be stuck to
the mirror. This makes him pause for a long moment as he stares into
the mirror (or is it the wolf's eyes?). He growls a little bit again
and sets the point of his knife at the base of the throat of the wolf
image in the mirror.
Jack makes a WITS + Diplomacy Roll to keep from bursting into laughter.
Assuming difficulty 6, he gets 10, 6, 7, 7, 2, 9, 9, he gets 6
successes.
After a minute of this tableux (did I spell that right?)
Tableaux, dear. :)
you would
swear you hear a quiet growl of wolfish amusement and Gregory's hand
comes free from the mirror finally. Gregory takes a slow step back,
cautiously takes the knife hand away, and then bows in such a way that
his eyes never leave the mirror. When he stands up again you notice
the wolf outline in the mirror has returned to where it was before.
Stepping cautiously *backwards* out of the space between the mirror
and the countertop, Gregory only relaxes again once he has something
solid between him and that mirror.
Suddenly realizing he has an audience, he looks around to see
reactions.
He'll see Jack standing there, leaning against the kitchen door jamb
and watching him with open interest. And a straight face. A _very_
straight face. Did I mention the six successes on that Diplomacy
roll? So, straight face. Nothing funny to see here, nope, nope, nope.
((OOC: Odd thing - as he stepped out from behind the counter you felt
whatever he had set up as protection/precaution vanish assuming you
can detect such. Just for a split-second you notice something very odd
out of the corner of your eye about the reflection in the mirror. Wits
+ Alertness difficulty 7 and email me for results.))
((OOC: WITS+Alertness dice pool is 5, so here we go: 5, 4, 8, 9, 7, so
that's three successes.))
Jack will clear his throat and say (with a straight face!), "I have
some bandages and some antiseptic creme in my bag if you want to take
care of that knife wound. Did the teeth marks break the skin, or are
they purely dents in your aura?"
He tosses the damp rag into the sink and steps over to his messenger
bag, where he pulls out a small first aid kit. "No point in throwing
around healing spells when a little patience and mundane medicine will
do the trick." He walks back to Gregory and offers him the kit.
((OOC: There's nothing remarkable about the kit, btw.))
