Then, by this definition, not all religions indoctrinate. Some of
us don't mind questioning and examination.

Most Sunday school classes are glorified daycare facilities, with a
indoctrination on the side, in my experience.

By "Sunday school" I'm going to assume you mean grade
school level---at least in my Church, that's what it means.
For middle/high school we have Youth Group (combo of
some kind of fun activity, music practice and Bible study;
I lead the last) and for adults we have Adult Forum. I have
to admit that I was impressed with that name in itself and
even more so when I saw how much real discussion can
happen there.
