"recreational drugs" are difficult to set up, especially for measuring

There are tons you can use for such experiments still, and really, I don't
think it's a religious question to begin with.

Oh, I do not think it is either.

It's a political and economic question, into which some gullible religious
people have been coopted.

That sounds about right. Then again, lots of political and economic agendas
are moved forward by gullible religious people.
