I couldn't think of a clear reason why undead with an intelligence die
when they reach 0 (for those who didn't know already, they do). Normal
undeads I can understand. They're mindless, so when they're no body,
there's no mind left to hold on to that body. Up until I got
confronted with the subject I thought that was the reason constructs
die when they reach 0 aswell; a mindless construct is broken, shut
down, scrap metal when it reaches 0.
Apperently, intelligent undead (and most likely intelligent constructs
too), die when they reach 0. Libris Mortis says so, but doesn't really
say why, in fact, they even say undeads can restore HP like a living
being can by resting 8 / 24 hours.
So, please help me out by simply speaking on behalf of Wizards /
Libris Mortis on telling me why they die, or either telling me you
don't agree on this.
Thanks! ^^

Does it help to think of them as having 10hp less than written, but
continuing to function as normal while on negatives?
