Well, not really.

But there's the preview for Star Wars Saga Edition:

Two interesting points:

* "triple Hit Die" at 1st-level

That is interesting... missed that when I read the article.

I don't understand the point. If you want heroes to be more heroic,
cut to the chase and start them at 3rd level.

3rd level is more than just a few more HP.

Yeh it's also x3 skills, unlike a CURRENT first level character who
gets x4.

And it's also 1 feat, unlike a CURRENT first level character who gets
1 feat and is already 1/3rd of the way to the next (i.e. 4 levels
worth of feats).

And it's also +1/2 or +1/3 to every save, unlike a CURRENT first level
character who gets +2.5 or +1/3 to every save (five level's or one
level's worth depending on whether or not it is a good save).

And a class like fighter typically gives +1/2 a feat for each level
except at level 1 where for some reason it gives +1.5 feats (three
level's worth) AND a bunch of proficiencies.

And a class like Wizard typically gives +1/2 a level of spell access
and +2 spells in the spell book except at level 1 where you gain 2
levels of spell access and something like 25 spells in the spellbook
(4+ level's worth if you consider level 0 worth having, which it is).

And....

For vitually all purposes except HP level 1 is already BETTER than 3
normal levels.

Start the fucking character at level 3. It simplifies the system;
allows better representation of students, aprentices, adolescents, and
children; and allows starting multiclasses; all at no real cost except
removing the idea that PCs start as totally helpless dweebs, which
you've already largely killed anyway with tripple starting HP.
