You alter existing non-magical writing so that it can be read by any creature with an Intelligence score of 3 or higher, even one that is not normally literate. If it is carved into a surface, even a blind creature can read it by running fingers, toes or claws over it (but will not realize this until they start doing so).

A creature reading the text understands it to the extent that its Intelligence and skills allow. Universal Script does not allow a layperson to understand technical writing that could not easily be rewritten in layperson's terms.

Universal Script counters and dispels Illusory Script.

Material Component: A collection of quill feathers from both common and exotic birds, costing a total of 250 gp.
