Well, yes, "in this form". Outgrowing this form is what immortality,
uploading, singularity &c. are all about.

Yeah, that speaks to my idea of our being prevented. We were meant
to exist in the form we currently occupy for the duration of our
existence as a species, the way I see it.

A bit of a tautology, no?

"We were meant to exist in this form for the duration of our existence
in this form."

Even if one were to accept the implied someone doing the "meaning" here,
I don't see any hint that he didn't mean for us to exist in this form up
until a point in time, and in another form from that point onward. (Up
until another point...)

Well, this form (the human body) is part and parcel to the great
experiment, a crucial element of why we exist in this state. The only
other form for us is our true, unbound self that is the spirit form.

On what do you base this opinion and why doesn't that opinion have room
for an intermediate form (or forms), still bounded but less so than this
one?
