Rich Burlew

Is it just me, or does Rich Burlew seem like he's becoming an ever more bitchy, pissy, jackbooted prima-donna ass? A friend of mine said something about this last night so I checked out his message boards today and the sheer volume of detailed nit-picky rules and regulations just turned me off to ever even trying to post there.

I mean on one hand I can understand where he's coming from -- it's his site, he makes the rules. Sure. But his attitude and unbalanced control freakery make it all to easy to extend the analogy given on is site regarding "a group of friends in a dorm room" to include the fact that the guy whose room it is has some serious issues and can't tolerate even relatively benign deviations from an irrationally strict code of behaviors. Who chooses to hang out in that room?

I still love OotS, I'll still read it faithfully (and buy the books), and to tell the truth I was never much of a poster on his board anyway (I went there once to praise Yikyik the kobold, and then Rich went and killed him off :^(). But reading his long litany of rules actually irritated me to the point where I wanted to go out of my way to irritate HIM. Which is the exact opposite of what he wants, I'm sure.

Anyone else want to weigh in on this?
