Yeah, I don't have any problem with that.
By the way, there isn't much point in closing your eyes when dealing
with mirror images unless the wizard squeezes at least three images into
each square. Attacking blind is pointless unless you've at least
pinpointed the right square (e.g., because all the figures are in one
square, or because you won a Listen check). If there's only one figure
in that square, you've "learned which image is real" and don't need to
roll randomly. If there are two figures, you're still better off with
eyes open: Your "miss chance" is the same (50%), but you don't suffer
defensive penalties, and you'll destroy an image if you pick the wrong
one.
Hm, this implies that there are trade-offs for clumping your mirror
images versus spreading them out. If you spread them out one per square,
you can often trick opponents into coming nowhere near you, but doing so
leaves you vulernable to good listeners (many of whom are archers).
