Gets Complicated *but* I told you so

I be thinking I may attempt to come out of my semi-retirement. Short story long: My S.O. ran up a huge medical bill. I don't have to pay it for her but if I get a job appropriate for my work experience and skills it would take me a two or three weeks at the most.

So I be padding the old resume. Filled out one application and it asked for stuff like my GPA! Sheesh! I don't remember that kind of stuff. It was decades ago. I do a vanity search after getting my patent data to see if I am still getting airtime and...

Gawd awful old post and I didn't recall making *all* those comments in the newsgroup. I ended up looking on google and sure enough bright boy had taken everything out of context or maybe a misquote or two. I seem to recall I had the position ~I don't give a rats ass if his site stays up but people have the right to complain if they want, free speech issue. Naturally Ron took it as a personal attack with me the ringleader. Heck, maybe I shouldn't correct him.

Of course it *was* me that said Ron was a major cheater. Big surprise he and others denied it then in the newsgroup and on his web pages. Well, sure enough he got banned multiple times for character hacking i.e. the old 147 STR, DEX, and INT kind of thing. After 3 bans he was caught on a 4th offense and logged in to find himself in jail. He took the mature "I will quit before they ban me" 'tude and logged out to cancel his account.

What is surprising is 7 years later he still has that junk up. I mean everyone now knows he was a cheater and he left the denial up. Kind of like if Clinton had a web site "I did not have sex with that woman!" Just completely inappropriate. I guess lacking in the social graces was Ron's big crime anyway. I didn't find his original site funny, before or after it was santisized, but I see some real humor in this.
