What I've (once again) found out so far is that a backpack takes two
bags (and a few items), which together hold more stuff than an empty
backpack would. A crate takes three bags, or one backpack and one
bag (and a few items).
(I haven't been in the mood to shuffle the stones around to check
about smaller and bigger backs/backpacks; Shamino's backpack takes
all eight stones but no extra bag - I remembered wrongly.)
And what kind of junk do I need to carry around anyway? (I'm such a
packrat, it's surely some compulsive disorder, but I'd like to
improve. <g>) Let's assume I carry the important (quest) items and
useful stuff like watch and abacus myself (and the keys that I
forgot to leave or think they might open something else), that
leaves for my mules^Wcompanions:
(for example):
Iolo: food
Spark: treasure&money
Shamino: stones
Dupre: (so far just the rings and glass swords[*], and the sleeping
potions that Jaana should have)
Jaana: some potions (healing, sleeping, cure poison, as one can
always buy more it doesn't have to be dozens)
So far with a backpack (or crate if they're strong enough - Menion
is a cool trainer) with one bag.
[*] Do I need the rings, anyway? Or the swords? Should I just have
everyone wear gauntlets?
Oh, the choices. :)
Anyone got some wisdom to share?

I woudn't know, but I am starting to read your posts...Tried google

I've just bought an gx280 xp3 off criagslist for $160.00....I bought
an external HD case for 20.00 and the seller came to my home and
removed the two year old 80GB HD from My Pavilian 6730 win98 to the
case and reinstalled my old original acting up 10GB drive into the
Pavilian...
Good thing too...As I crashed this gx280's OS within 24 hours....NTLDR
problem....
Anyway my ultima stuff is on the win98 drive in the external case...I
have installed dosbox for this xp3 machine....
I have been playing Broodwar on BNet...Yap, Blizzard gives a trial
Warcraft CD with the Starcraft/Broodwar game...
Well, I am slow as my sight is counting finger with left eye and
20/200 with correction in the right....
I am in the process of setting up an new ID. It will be "Zi friend of
Dragons"", I think.
I've messed up a few times already last week before I purchase this
GX280 Friday the 12th...I think, my old ID was charles nelson or
charles, I don't remember....
