Well, you'd never know who is reading what and if they know your program,
they'd target you, much more effectively. It's a fair concern, right?
Next time if people don't want to tell..., don't tell it for them.
Remember the golden rule.
It's a good thing you're paranoid because everyone's out to get you.
... Which song is it from?
Life.
You are usually the wise one. I am in the toss up thinking either you or
Poly is probably the wisest one in the group. You must have experienced
paranoia in your past. How would you cope with it in my situation?
I suggest formatting your computer. Don't reinstall from backups - they
might be infected. In fact, buy all new hardware. You never know what
kind of new rootkits might be hiding in your BIOS, or in your video card
memory, or in your printer's memory. So all new hardware and software.
Also, change your ISP. But first move, and change your name. Only use
your brand new banking info to get your new ISP account. Each month do
the same procedure again because you never know who might be tracking your
movements. Also, invest in Reynolds, because I think their aluminum foil
is going to start selling like mad out in San Jose.
Happy now? >:)
Seriously, quit using IE and OE. Don't store your passwords on your
computer or in your browser. Leave flash and javascript disabled - you
could enable them for specific sites on a case by case basis. Use a good
adblocker and/or hosts file to stop adverts (the source of many XSS
exploits and drive-by infections). Keep your XP updated. Keep your AFV
updated. Perhaps install a second AV but without it running in the
background all the time - that way you can disable your primary AV and run
the secondary manually to double check. Make sure your firewall is
working (suggest Comodo or Kerio 2.15). Keep either a parallel install of
XP viable or build a BartPE disc so you can do a clean boot when needed.
That's what I do.
Erm..., I was asking if you were paranoid, how would you cope with it.
Obviously I couldn't cope with mine....
And anyways..., I was already thinking about buying new hardware....
Serious! Though it's more or less of a justification to get myself some
hardware I desperately needed (I've been putting off buying that
replacement DVD-burner for a long time now...).
How do you keep two AV programs? The two AV programs I have keep wanting
to uninstall each other.
BTW, I still don't know how to build a BartPE disc, so care to teach me?
PLEASE.
I'll try new email clients. The reason I keep OE is because it's easy to
use. I want something similar to OE, except more secure. I hardly use IE,
so don't worry about it.

I'd tried to post early morning 1 am...
It isn't here...hmmm? Was I tagged?
I run open...A IE and outlook Vermin..lol
I don't have room for another Brouser or mail client...
It was a very long repling babble...Darn...
system hung..while typing post...I was doing some searching in other
window too...
This wasn't what hung me...
Had to cakk isp o refresh modem? what's that about?
afterwords all my set firewall permissions were gone as if I deleted
them...only settings I had was an incoming deny on a system ping. and
a permit on loopback...
The saved favorite to this site was gone...Hmmm?
I was stating how I tried to re upload a pic to my bnwild56 yahoo
profile before my comp. crash..
And the site didn't let me. This was the same pic from the save
location on my comp. that I had uploaded years before..Seemed yahoo
new face-lift of it's message boards didn't transer it...
Any-who, yahoo said, it detected unusable activity...listed the
spyware/ malware link and also suggested it could be backgroud
activity from my ISP...Yahoo saidm call the ISP an ask.
I didn't...After the reset or refresh of my modem last night, the net
work after answering the firewall permission request...Had to reset AV
permissions filters as these were vanished as all others were. I set
the firewall itself permissions and IE permissions...
Attempted to post here again, right after..
modem flashing light and net connection was mis-behaving...I called
the ISP and while on hold for a minute, the flashing light started
acting normal and all was fine...I hung up...
proceeded to make my post...Pressed send..
I hought it sent it...
Not here today...hmmmm?
Oh, I had the setting for this site ti remember my passwaord...after
all that I had to manually sign in....
so, I dumped my few save passwords to sites I frequent and was tried
of enter password...
someone spoofing me? Is it, wasit my isp last night...Was it some girl
site I visited early lastnight??
One doesn't know what they embed in there pages...I had pics not open
in any program, until I dumped the cashe...How do they do that?
sometimes requires a restart...
