Just wondering if anyone here has tried out both and could give a rundown
on the pros and cons comparing the two.
I use T-bird and never had it do anything I don't want it to, or not
do anything I do want it to, so I've never bothered with anything
else.
Yeah, I switched over to Thunderbird a while back after getting tired of
running 9 different instances of Eudora for all my different accounts. I
know Agent can do multiple email servers now but I never liked it for
email. Also, Qualcomm has decided to quit making email software so the
current version of Eudora is the last.
But in my travels I remembered Evolution. I've tried it out on Windows
now and, well, let's just say the Thunderbird people have nothing to worry
about. Six background processes running even when the program is closed?
No way.
Yeah, a lot of programs are like that unfortunately. That's one reason
I went with the NOD32 antivirus system. That only uses around 24 Mb of
RAM for all it's two processes. Heck, some of the other security
suites used 150Mb! I'm currently running the McAfee Personal Firewall
because it's free with my DSL, but I ditched the AV. I still like
Iolo's System Mechanic 5, but the version 7 I tried was one that
comsumed over 150Mb and took over the whole puter. No thanks. Now I
just use Crap Cleaner configured the way I like to clean up before
defragging.

But the good in me don't wanna believe
that the evil in me is so.
And a voice somewhere says "Do as you please" but the
