And I am surprised you get a widescreen for your parents. Usually older
folks HATE widescreen. I have to tell my family several times before they
could accept it, and my dad still saying how come people look fat in
widescreen.... And I constantly hearing older people saying they don't
like widescreen movies in Fry's because they are black stuff on top and
bottom of the screen....

I wasn't about to spend that much on a TV that would be obsolete in a few
years. Anyhow I showed them the button that changes the aspect ratio so
they can fiddle with that as much as they want.

I kept telling them they need to think about buying an HD TV, but they kept
wanting to buy a tradition TV. If I kept pushing, my dad would just go to
Costco and buy the cheapest one that doesn't even have component video
inputs or enough inputs for all the devices. So getting a widescreen is
already an improvement.... I could rant on and on....
