Your buttons "Précédent" (previous) and "Suivant" (next) do not seem
to advance the paintings in your numerical sequence. Starting with
your #171, the "suivant" button took me to #142, 140, 147, 128, and
195. Is this intentional? What is the order scheme the buttons use?
This is perfectly normal. The pictures are classified by the year of birth
of the painter.
The number of the pictures has no importance (it corresponds to the number
of acquisition, for example if the numbers 000 to 195 are taken, the next
picture will be numbered 196)
Looking at another painting, by Dominique Digeon, I wonder if you
have the title spelled correctly. You show "Alekim Bogolgabov." Should
his perhaps be "Alekhine-Bogolyubov"? Those two were actual chess
masters who twice played each other for the World Championship, in
1929 and 1934. Then again, the painter could call it "Ali-Frazier" if
he wants to.
Yes Dominique Digeon has done it on purpose, there is here no mistake from
me
Thanks a lot for your interest.
