Re: Sanny how about GC Normal level vs Ivans PLY LEVEL 8 ....

In the position after 18.Qxc5, a competent chess writer would
describe White as having "a pawn for the Exchange" or being "up a pawn
but down the Exchange." Only someone unschooled in chess would say
anyone was "one pawn ahead."

Usyally when a Bishop gets killed for a Rook. I say I lost 2 pawns. As
Rook = 5 pawns and Bishop = 3 pawns. So Getting Rook Bishop exchange
lkoses 2 pawns.

May be this terminology is not valid in USA. In Inbdia we speak in the
language. Like I am 3 pawns up despite the number of pawns difference
being same.

Or may be Highly rated players in India too speak your language. Lay
man in Chess here talk in terms of Pawns.

I hope now GetClub can use its extra
pawn to get a draw in the End Game. As End Game of GetClub is weak an
extra pawn will help it get a draw in end game.

No, what GC will have to do is use the power of its extra rook. It
has no "extra pawn" to do anything with

Agreed.

Sanny
