Actually, the cycle system was not liked by the players. What I think would
be great for chess is tournaments of the same status as the one just
recently held in Argentina. Put the top players in such a tournament every
4 years, and we'll have a prestigious title and system.

(Also, remember that FIDE arranged such a tournament after the death of
Aljechin).
