I prefer that conventions be followed. If almost everyone top-posts
(as is common in businesses that use Windows machines and Internet
Information Server) a single bottom-poster is disruptive to good
communication. If almost everyone bottom-posts (as is common in
businesses that use Linux machines and SMTP servers - and in Usenet
newsgroups!) a single top-poster is disruptive to good communication.

That's like asking me if I value seatbelt use over safety or
whether I value umbrellas over staying dry. The protocols were
designed to improve clarity of communications, and they work well.
