IMP's
Everyone Red
You hold:
AKQTX
X
ATXX
K9X
(1H) ?
What call do you make?
The call selected at the table was double, and the auction continued:
(1H) DBL (2H) 3C
(3H) 3S (P) 4C
(P) ?
3S was considered as a forcing call at this point in the auction.
What action do you take over 4C?
Sandy Barnes
I did not Dbl, I overcalled 1S. But in the actual auction, the advancer has
shown little interest in anything. He did voluntarily bid 3C so his clubs
should be either very long or he has reasonable quality club suit. He was
forced to bid over 3S and chose to rebid his suit at the lowest level even
after hearing of a *strong onesuiter in spades*. I think I Pass, unless
the partnership agreements require another bid from me [after making the
forcing 3S call]. I think we go down in 5C and slam is out of the question.
