What means of coping has anyone found both (a) effective and (b)
tolerable to the players generally? 4-color decks (and which
colors)? Super-index cards? Anything else? BTW this is ACBL-land,
if it matters. TIA.
At our club, we have a legally-blind player who designed his own cards. We
use them regularly.
We have a few people who complain, but almost all of the players find them
easy to use after a session or two of getting used to them.
I've actually come to prefer them, since it's impossible to mix up the
suits.
He has a website: http://www.logandeck.com, but it's down right now. Check
sometime next week.
4-color cards don't work, because many people lose their color perception
along with detail perception. Logan's cards use contrast, size, and position
to distinguish.
Cheers,
Wes
